Having used this lighter for a long time, we can tell you that there are generally three issues you may encounter:

  • One of the three flame ports might become clogged and no longer light.  In other words, instead of having a 3-burner lighter you now have a 2-burner lighter!  This is quite easily fixed – just spray butane into the burner and the pressure should remove anything blocking the flow of butane from the lighter. You can minimize this risk by using a high quality butane.

  • Your lighter may not be filling with butane.  This could be because you haven’t bled it enough, or it could be that the refill bottle isn’t sitting on the refill port properly.  When it is properly seated, there should be no or minimal butane visible when you fill it.  Always use a butane refill tank with a plastic tip. Metal tips tend to not seat well and will spray butane everywhere.

  • When you try to light your lighter, there is no spark and no sound of the lighter trying to ignite.  Unfortunately, in this case there may be something wrong with the battery and it will need to be replaced.  See our warranty section for details on how to do this.
